Your data
Speekr uses your text and voice to advance the teleprompter. Your draft and settings stay on your device. The publisher receives neither your scripts nor your recordings. Speekr has no ads or advertising tracking and does not sell your data. RevenueCat manages subscriptions as described below.
Subscriptions and RevenueCat
Apple processes payments. RevenueCat receives a random installation identifier, purchase history and status, and technical app and device information to verify Premium access, restore purchases and provide subscription statistics to the publisher. Speekr does not send it scripts, audio, video, names, email addresses or card numbers. Automatic device identifier collection and optional diagnostics are disabled.
Purchase management is based on performance of the contract; security and subscription statistics on the publisher’s legitimate interests. Data is retained as long as necessary to manage access, restoration and legal obligations. RevenueCat acts as a processor and processes data in the United States under its data processing agreement safeguards. Contact support to exercise your rights over this data. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or erase purchase history held by Apple or RevenueCat.
Apple speech recognition
With your permission, the microphone supplies your voice to Apple’s Speech service, along with words from the script to improve recognition. Local processing is preferred when available. Otherwise, or if the local engine cannot start, audio may be sent to Apple’s servers and an Internet connection may be needed. Apple applies its own privacy and retention policies.
In reading-only mode, Speekr does not create an audio file. Transcripts are used to follow your position during the session and are not saved by the app.
Camera and videos
Video mode uses the camera and microphone with your permission. Takes remain in Speekr until added to Photos or deleted. Photos access only allows adding takes, without reading your library. Denying access never deletes your video. You can view, export or delete it from the home screen. Exporting a take does not delete its copy in Speekr.
Retention and deletion
Clear text removes the draft from Speekr. You can delete pending takes individually. Deleting the app removes its local data; copies in Photos, Files or backups are managed separately. Any iCloud backup or sync depends on your Apple settings.
Your choices and rights
Voice and video features depend on the permissions you grant. You can stop reading or recording and revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings. You can always write and edit without microphone permission. The publisher cannot access data stored only on your device. For data held through a support exchange, you may request access, correction or deletion and exercise other applicable rights, or contact a data protection authority such as the CNIL in France.
Support and updates
If you contact the publisher, your email address and message are used only to handle your request, based on the legitimate interest of providing support. Exchanges are kept as long as necessary to resolve it, then deleted unless legally required otherwise. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive data.
This website
This website adds no advertising tools, analytics cookies or data collection forms. Fonts and images are hosted with the site. Vercel hosting processes technical data needed to deliver and secure pages, including IP addresses and request information, under its privacy policy. If you email us, your message is used to answer your request.
